As my first animation project I made a fan trailer for The Legend of Zelda. I started with a simple walkcycle through a cave and finished with a 2 minute trailer. At the beginning, to get some guidance, I looked at newer "The Legend of Zelda" trailers and collected references. Then I revised the model and built the individual scenes in Blender. For the animations I used Mixamo to get an easier introduction to the topic of animations. To give the character more personality I looked at UV animation in Blender to animate faces. In order to decorate the cave more, I also started to animate small things like fire. After a generally satisfactory trailer, I recreated and re-inserted all of the character model, based on the classic designs like Ganondorf (his old pig design). With HDRIS and specifically placed lights, I tried to create a cinematic atmosphere and lighting. In the end I edited everything in Davinci Resolve. For the music I simply used the original soundtrack from “The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild”. After this project I can say, that I got more interested in working on animation projects!
